POLICY MANAGEMENT

The aim of the “Policy Management” working group is to define the requirements for a functioning and appropriate policy management system as part of a proper compliance management system. On the one hand, this involves establishing a lean conceptual framework (in the sense of minimum requirements for appropriate policy management) and, on the other hand, continuously adapting to changing framework conditions.

Working
heavy-
points

The working group focuses on the following three topics.

  • Requirements for regulations
What should be the minimum requirements for guidelines (content, structure, publication, language, etc.)?
  • Requirements for control management
    • How can a regulatory hierarchy in a company be designed in a meaningful way?
    • Which processes for the creation, implementation and communication of guidelines have proven themselves in practice / are recommended?
    • How can a uniform quality standard for guidelines be ensured?
    • How can the Group-wide binding nature of guidelines be ensured and their implementation supported and monitored?
  • Tools and digital support
    • What methods and tools can be used to efficiently design a policy management system?
    • What procedures are available for setting up a new policy management system or improving existing systems?
    • Which digital tools can usefully support policy management systems?
