The Money Laundering Prevention Working Group has set itself the goal of making compliance officers at companies in the non-financial sector aware of the increasingly present issue of money laundering.dlaundering prevention.

The Money Laundering Prevention Working Group monitors the constantly changing regulatory framework and legislative activities. In particular, the obligations of goods traders that are relevant in practice are in need of interpretation in many places in the German Money Laundering Act. There is hardly any case law and published official practice. The working group offers industrial companies in particular practical guidance in the sense of a good practice.

Dr. Niklas Auffermann

Founding partner of FS-PP Berlin

Lawyer Dr. Niklas Auffermann is a specialist lawyer for criminal law, mediator, certified data protection officer (TÜV), financial sanction specialist, money laundering officer and founding partner of the law firm FS-PP Berlin, which specializes in compliance and commercial criminal law. He advises and represents companies nationwide in all areas of white-collar criminal law and administrative offense law. One focus of his work is AML advice and taking on external money laundering officer mandates.

Dr. Auffermann was a member of the board of the Berlin Bar Association from 2013 to 2021. There, as Money Laundering Prevention Officer, he developed the supervision of money laundering law. In 2021, he participated as an expert in the FATF-Germany audit on standards in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing, as well as in the audit of the EU Commission.

Dr. Falk Löffler

Compliance Officer at thyssenkrupp

Dr. Falk Löffler is Compliance Officer at thyssenkrupp AG. He is responsible for the development, Group-wide implementation and management of the compliance management system for the prevention of money laundering.

In this context, he regularly advises thyssenkrupp companies on the structuring of specific business relationships with the aim of preventing any money laundering activities. Previously, Dr. Löffler was Head of Investment Planning in the Automotive division of the thyssenkrupp Group, where he was responsible for the planning and controlling of global investment projects.
