In addition to the Board of Directors, the Board of Directors is another body that oversees the association’s business and has contributed to DICO’s successful history. Currently, 15 members serve on the Board of Directors on a voluntary basis.

Stefanie Reichel
Chairwoman,
Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Vodafone Germany
Stefanie Reichel has been a member of the Executive Board of Vodafone Germany since April 1, 2020. As Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, she heads the Legal, Compliance and Corporate Security departments. With over 20 years of experience, the law graduate is a proven expert in the fields of compliance, data protection and law. Before joining Vodafone Germany in July 2019, she was Group General Counsel and a member of the Management Committee, where she was responsible for legal, compliance, data protection and anti-fraud management at the Zurich Group in Germany. Prior to that, as Chief Compliance Officer, she was responsible for the overarching compliance management system of the ERGO Group AG companies in Germany and abroad for five and a half years. From 1999 to the end of 2011, she held various positions at HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt AG, most recently as Global Head of Compliance, AML & Fraud Prevention with responsibility for the HSBC Trinkaus companies in Germany, Austria and Luxembourg.

Dr. Carolin Reese
Deputy Chairwoman,
Director of Compliance at Zalando SE
Carolin Reese is Director of Compliance at Zalando SE, where she is responsible for Compliance & Business Ethics, Anti-Money-Laundering and the Customs Competence Center. She is a lecturer for compliance at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. Carolin Reese is also on the advisory board of Corporate Compliance Zeitschrift (CCZ).
After studying law in Paris and Cologne and completing her doctorate, she initially worked as a lawyer at Linklaters before joining Zalando in 2015. In addition to her group-wide responsibility for compliance and the specialist topics of her teams, she is particularly involved in automation in the area of governance.

Inken Brand
In-house lawyer & Head of Corporate Compliance Office at Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA
Inken Brand is an in-house lawyer and Head of Corporate Compliance Office at the listed company Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA (“Dräger”) in Lübeck. Founded in Lübeck in 1889, the family-owned company is now in its fifth generation and is a leading international medical and safety technology company with 50 of its own sales and service companies and is represented in over 190 countries. After studying law in Passau and Toulouse (1996-2002) and completing her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Koblenz (2002-2004), Inken Brand joined the corporate legal department of Deutsche Lufthansa AG in Frankfurt am Main in 2004, advising primarily on sales, customer relations and the areas of aviation security, revenue integrity and fraud prevention. Since 2006, she has focused on compliance tasks in the areas of distribution antitrust law and white-collar crime. In 2011, she returned to Lübeck to contribute and expand her experience in the development and implementation of compliance management systems in an international context at Dräger.

Dr. Stephan Bühler
General Counsel at SGL Carbon
Dr. Stephan Bühler has been General Counsel of SGL Carbon in Wiesbaden since July 1, 2013.
He was also appointed Chief Compliance Officer on May 1, 2014. He moved to SGL on June 1, 2013 after 21 years at Siemens AG.
Dr. Bühler had held various positions at Siemens AG since 1992 prior to his move. Among other things, he provided legal support to various industrial divisions in Erlangen, headed the legal department responsible for Siemens Financial Services Munich and financial law for 5 years and the M&A team in Paris for 3 years. The last years he was Chief Counsel M&A/Corporate in the central legal department of Siemens AG with teams in Erlangen and Munich. This department is responsible for all M&A activities (including venture capital, project ventures and transaction-related corporate law) of the Siemens Group worldwide. Immediately prior to his move, he held the position of General Counsel Legal and Compliance of the Customer Services Division of the Industry Sector in Erlangen.

Dr. Konstantin von Busekist

Dr. Konstantin von Busekist is a partner and office manager at KPMG Law in Cologne. Within KPMG Law, he heads the “Compliance & Investigations” practice group with more than 20 lawyers and therefore has access to colleagues who specialize in various areas of law.
Dr. von Busekist coordinates the activities of the global KPMG Law network with regard to compliance consulting. He is a lecturer for corporate law, corporate governance and compliance at the University of Duisburg-Essen.

Prof. Dr. Alfred Dierlamm
Founder of DIERLAMM Attorneys at Law
Alfred Dierlamm studied law at the universities of Bonn and Trier. After completing his studies, he worked as a research assistant at the chair of criminal law lecturer Prof. Dr. Krey at the University of Trier from 1991 to 1993. In 1993, he completed his doctorate in the field of criminal procedure law. In 1994, Alfred Dierlamm began working as a lawyer specializing in commercial criminal law at the Redeker Sellner Dahs law firm in Bonn. In 1999, he founded the law firm DIERLAMM Rechtsanwälte, which today is one of the leading law firms in Germany in the field of white-collar criminal law. Since 2010, he has held an honorary professorship at the University of Trier for commercial and tax criminal law. He advises in particular on the interfaces between criminal law and compliance. He has been a member of the Criminal Law Committee of the German Federal Bar Association since 2006.

Georg Gößwein LL.M.

Lawyer Georg Gößwein, LL.M. is arbitrator, mediator, systemic organizational developmentand member of the DICO Board of Directors. In 2019, after around 20 years in-house at the mechanical and plant engineering, PLLOB Compliance GmbH. It advises and supports companies take strategic and operative with the systemic Development their Organization in the Regarding on resource-saving, culture-forming and sustainable effective (Compliance/ESG) Management Systems. Thereby served them itself in particular the Decisionheuristic PLLOB®. Sustainable (Self-) Guidance becomes so rather values- as rule-based in the DNA the Organization planted. 2016 initiated George Gößwein the DICO working group “Compliance as Management task”, whose Co-leader he is. Dr. Sofia Halfmann

Sofia Halfmann is a lawyer and works as Senior Vice President Compliance and Export Control Officer for DHL Global Forwarding, Freight in Bonn.
Before joining DHL, she worked for various pharmaceutical companies in Karlsruhe, Munich, New Jersey/USA and Berlin, most recently at Bayer AG in Leverkusen as Head of Group Compliance Office/Compliance Officer.
Sofia Halfmann has published on the subject of compliance and export control and has given various lectures. She has been a member of the Women in Compliance Awards jury since 2015.

Dr. Stefan Heissner
Member of the Management Board of FTI Consulting EMEA and Germany
Dr. Stefan Heissner has been involved in fighting crime since the 1980s, particularly in the area of corruption and white-collar crime. Dr. Heissner, who holds a doctorate in economics, began his professional career in the police and criminal investigation service. After working for KPMG, EY and PwC, where he held management positions in forensics as a partner, Dr. Stefan Heissner has been a member of the management board of FTI Consulting in EMEA and Germany and Chair of Forensics & Litigation Consulting since summer 2024. Dr. Stefan Heissner regularly publishes on topics related to compliance and responsible corporate governance. Among other things, he comments on the criminal and fine provisions of the German Commercial Code (HGB) as well as standards for the design and auditing of risk and compliance management systems. He is a member of Atlantik-Brücke.

Dr. Iyad Nassif
In-house lawyer in the legal and compliance department of E.ON SE
Iyad Nassif studied law at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. In 2008, he completed his doctorate in the field of criminal law. After completing his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Münster, Dr. Nassif began working as an (in-house) lawyer in the compliance department of AUDI AG (Ingolstadt) in 2009, before continuing his work as a lawyer/criminal defence lawyer at the law firm Thomas Deckers Wehnert Elsner (Düsseldorf) until 2016. Since 2016, Dr. Nassif has been employed as an (in-house) lawyer in the legal and compliance department of E.ON SE (Essen), where he advises on white-collar criminal law, anti-money laundering and fraud prevention, in particular anti-corruption. In 2018, he obtained the specialist lawyer title for criminal law and is a lecturer at the University of Regensburg for combating corruption.

Dr. Rita Pikó

Dr. Rita Pikó is a founding partner of the law firm Pikó Uhl Rechtsanwälte AG in Zurich, which specializes in compliance and corporate governance. She has been advising on corporate compliance and corporate governance for 25 years and conducts internal investigations. She is admitted to the bar in Germany and Switzerland. She began her legal career in 1998 at Hengeler. In 2000, she moved to Celanese AG where she became Global Chief Compliance Officer, Risk Officer and Corporate Governance Officer. In 2009 she joined Clifford Chance and became self-employed in 2010. Rita Pikó lectures on compliance at various universities and has been a permanent lecturer for compliance in the “Excellence Program for Supervisory Boards” at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in Frankfurt am Main since 2010. She studied law at the University of Constance and passed her second state examination in Baden-Württemberg. She holds a doctorate (Dr. jur.) from the University of Konstanz and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Exeter, Great Britain. Rita Pikó is co-editor and co-author of the reference book “Handbuch Corporate Compliance” (Helbing Lichtenhahn Verlag, Basel, 2022).

Kathrin Reichert
Head of Legal & Compliance

Kathrin Reichert has been a licensed lawyer since 2005 and completed her compliance expertise academically in 2011 with an MBA specializing in corporate governance, risk and compliance. Since March 2022, she has been Head of Legal and Compliance at Finanz Informatik GmbH & Co KG, the central IT service provider and digitalization partner of the Sparkassen Finanzgruppe, and was additionally appointed Human Rights Officer by the management in December 2022.
Before Kathrin Reichert became General Counsel and Compliance Officer at Finanz Informatik, she worked as Head of Group Compliance at the listed company Talanx AG, the holding company of the international insurance group HDI. Until 2018, Kathrin Reichert worked for TUI AG, where she held various compliance roles, most recently as Head of Group Policy Management. This position followed her activities at the beginning of her professional career in 2010 in the M&A department of a legal department of the Lufthansa Group, law firm and association.

Dr. Anita Schieffer

Anita Schieffer began her professional career as a lawyer in the legal department of Siemens AG in international contract law and IT law. In 2008, she moved to the Compliance department and was involved in the implementation of the Siemens compliance system. From 2012 to April 2018, she held various management positions in the Siemens Compliance Organization, including in the areas of antitrust compliance and anti-money laundering.
From May 2018 to December 2019, she was a partner at Pohlmann & Company, advising international clients on the implementation of compliance systems, internal investigations and a DOJ monitorship. Since January 2020, Ms. Schieffer has been Chief Compliance Officer at Siemens Energy, a spin-off of Siemens AG.

Jan Schreiner
Vice President Risk & Compliance
in the TRATON Group
Jan Schreiner has been Vice President Risk & Compliance at the TRATON Group, the listed commercial vehicle business of the Volkswagen Group with brands such as Scania and MAN, since 2019. He is responsible for Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), including risk analysis and monitoring the effectiveness of the compliance management system. In addition, he is in charge of Group-wide Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and the Internal Control System (ICS). In this role, he was also significantly involved in various large transformation projects, such as a compliance monitorship (US DoJ), an IPO and the acquisition of a large US company, including post-merger integration. Previously, Jan Schreiner worked in a similar role at MAN SE since 2013, after spending his first 12 years at EY with international assignments in the USA and Singapore. Jan Schreiner holds a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Karlsruhe and is also accredited as a Certified Internal Auditor (IIA). He has been active in various working groups at DICO since the early days, including five years as head of the working group.

Alexander Schröder
Founder of GRC Experts
Alexander Schröder, born in Wiesbaden in 1973, studied food technology and business administration in Munich.
In 2002, he joined KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft as a specialist employee, where he worked primarily in the Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Service department at the Stuttgart, Munich and Frankfurt am Main offices until his departure in 2010. From 2010-2017, Mr. Schröder was Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Axel Springer SE in Berlin, where he headed the Governance, Risk & Compliance department. From 2018 to 2024, Mr. Schröder was Chief Compliance Officer and Group Money Laundering Officer at ERGO Group AG in Düsseldorf. From November 2024, Mr. Schröder will be working for a well-known management consultancy.
