The Healthcare Forum focuses on the healthcare sector. It is open to players from all areas of the healthcare sector. The aim is to pool expertise and pluralize information budgets. The forum is intended to provide members with a platform to discuss the development of compliance in the healthcare sector and the Aproactive and productive approach to healthcare compliance.

Dr. Daniel Geiger
Partner of GND GEIGER | NITZ | DAUNDERER
Daniel Geiger is a lawyer, specialist lawyer for medical law and business mediator. He is a partner in the law firm Geiger, Nitz and Daunderer (GND GEIGER | NITZ | DAUNDERER PartG mbB). He began his professional career in 2006 as a lawyer in the medical and health law department of an international law firm in Hamburg, from where he moved to the legal department of a research-based pharmaceutical company in 2007. Dr. Geiger’s last position there was as Senior Legal Counsel, Head of Governance Risk & Compliance and Compliance Officer. From 2009 – 2011, he was a member of the board of the Voluntary Self-Regulation of the Pharmaceutical Industry (FSA) e. V. Since 2012, he has been a member of the “Healthcare Compliance Advisory Board” of Arzneimittel und Kooperation im Gesundheitswesen (AKG) e. V. and since 2014 a member of the anti-corruption working group of the German Pharmaceutical Industry Association (BPI). Mr. Geiger is a lecturer for medical criminal law in the master’s degree program in medical law (LL.M.) at Dresden International University (DIU), lecturer for healthcare compliance in the master’s degree program “Pharmaceutical Law” (LL.M.) at Philipps University Marburg and at the School of Governance Risk & Compliance at Steinbeis University Berlin. Mr. Geiger is the author of numerous specialist publications in the fields of medical criminal law, healthcare compliance and pharmaceutical law.

Norbert Kaliwe
In-house lawyer & Global Compliance Lead Anti-Money Laundering at Merck KGaA
Norbert Kaliwe is an in-house lawyer and Global Compliance Lead Anti-Money Laundering at Merck KGaA. He began his professional career in 2006 as a lawyer for M&A and Corporate at the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Frankfurt am Main. Mr. Kaliwe has been with Merck KGaA since October 2011, initially in M&A, Finance and Corporate Governance, and from 2012 as Regional Counsel Asia-Pacific (APAC) for the Electronics business. Since August 2021, he has been part of the Compliance department and is responsible in particular for the topics of money laundering prevention and anti-terrorism financing in the Center of Expertise.
