CRIMINAL LAW
The criminal– and misdemeanor law defines the legal (minimum)framework within which companies must operate. The aim of each A company’s compliance strategy must therefore be to avoid criminal and regulatory offense law Identify and minimize liability risks. This is best achieved if the company one based on ethical values oriented corporate culture is established and practiced.
The Criminal Law Working Group deals with the actualn issues of criminal law, criminal procedural law and regulatory offense law with a focus on the effects on companies and their employees and serves the exchange of information and experience between colleagues working in criminal law.

Dr. Philipp Gehrmann
Partner at Krause & Kollegen
Philipp Gehrmann studied at Bucerius Law School, Hamburg, and at the Maurer School of Law, Bloomington (IN), USA. In 2008, he completed his doctorate in criminal capital markets law at the chair of Prof. Dr. Schröder. Dr. Gehrmann began practicing law in 2009 and is currently a partner at with Krause & Kollegen in Berlin, one of the leading law firms in commercial and criminal tax law. He has been a specialist lawyer for criminal law since 2014. Dr. Gehrmann works nationally and internationally as a defense lawyer and corporate lawyer in criminal and regulatory proceedings. He advises and represents individuals and companies in complex and extensive proceedings before supervisory authorities, public prosecutors and courts. He also has expertise in the area of parliamentary investigation committees at federal and state level.

Dr. Iyad Nassif
(In-house) lawyer at E.ON SE
Iyad Nassif studied at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster RLaw. In 2008, he laid down his Promotion in the area of criminal law. Dr. Nassif began in year 2009 his (In-house) lawyeractivity in the Compliance department the AUDI AG (Ingolstadt), before he was appointed Lawyer/criminal defense lawyer etc. in the Law firm Thomas Deckers Wehnert Elsner (Düsseldorf) continued his work as a lawyer. Ssince 2016 is Dr. Nassif as (In-house counsel) Lawyer in the Legal and Compliance Department of E.ON SE (Essen) and advises there in the area of: white-collar criminal law, anti-money laundering and fraud prevention, in particular anti-corruption . He qualified as a specialist lawyer for criminal law in 2018 and is a lecturer at the University of Regensburg on combating corruption and Lecturer for criminal law, criminal procedure law and interdisciplinary legal research at Bielefeld University.
