Business Partner Compliance (BPC)

Business partner compliance (BPC) and know-your-customer (KYC) audits present companies with the challenge of which data should be requested from business partners for the audit in order to obtain a sufficient overall picture of the integrity of the business partner. The DICO Business Partner Compliance Working Group has compiled a comprehensive collection of questions.

With the support of the consulting firm CAWECO GmbH and its partner Microstream GmbH, the working group then developed a web application ‘DICO BPC Questionnaire’, which makes it possible to create digitally fillable questionnaires for specific groups of business partners with just a few clicks. The questions are selected from the questionnaire using a risk-based logic. The questionnaires are saved in the application and can be sent by the user to individual business partners.

The application is available to all DICO company members in the member area (MyDICO). There you will also find a file with the questionnaire, the user manual for the application and the initial password. You can access the DICO BPC Questionnaire by clicking on the button. You can see the explanatory video here.

Interactive risk catalog

10 years of DICO – this was a good occasion to revise a prestigious DICO project from the founding period: The risk catalog including the honeycomb model. The Risk Analysis Working Group has therefore been working intensively on the revision over the past year and has now published Risk Catalog 2.0. In addition to renaming the risk areas using terms established in recent years, such as Criminal Compliance, HR Compliance, Financial Compliance or Corporate Compliance, the individual subject areas (= honeycombs) were also taken into consideration. Based on the findings from previous years, individual subject areas were combined, such as active and passive corruption, or deleted, such as the law of obligations. This has created space for two new subject areas that now play a key role: The honeycomb of organizational duties and ESG. However, the risk catalog has not only been updated in terms of content, but also in terms of layout. Whereas previously there was only the risk catalog in the form of an Excel list, a PowerPoint presentation and an interactive online tool are now also available.

DICO Business Partner Quick Check

The DICO Business Partner Quick Check allows a risk-based assessment of business partners. Checking business partners is important for companies of all types and sizes. Breaches of regulations by a business partner can be attributed to the company. Regulations to prevent money laundering or international sanctions sometimes require a check. The DICO Business Partner Quick Check offers an easy way to get an initial picture of a business partner with little effort and often with information that is already available.

DICO and BRYTER cooperate in the field of digitalization of compliance content. BRYTER offers a modular platform that makes it possible to transfer expert knowledge into intelligent software solutions. Content developed by DICO working groups can thus be made available in a digital format. All data entered into the tool by users is processed exclusively by BRYTER. DICO has no access to the data.
