DICO Talk: “Current developments in antitrust compliance and their impact on the area of antitrust damages”

On 18.06.2024 from 13:00 to 16:00.

For several years now, the number of hardcore cartels and related leniency applications that have been uncovered has been declining worldwide. There are different views on the causes. Is it due to the increased compliance activities of companies and an overall change in compliance culture? Or are companies refraining from submitting leniency applications because they fear the consequences of the claims for damages that now regularly follow?
In this DICO Talk, we want to discuss the above developments from the perspective of the authorities, lawyers and companies: What overarching trends can be observed in the prosecution of hardcore cartels? What do companies focus their compliance activities on nowadays and which (digital) tools do they use? Is there a need for legislative action – also from the point of view of cartel damages – and what form could this take?
