Publication of the handout “Suddenly a manager: Tone from the top, inspire and be a role model?”

Anyone who has management responsibility in an organization is automatically – intentionally or unintentionally – a role model for dealing with compliance issues and is largely responsible for ensuring that the desired compliance rules are implemented throughout the organization.

The recognizable characteristics of being a role model include active cooperation with the relevant compliance areas, a realistic idea of the requirements of a risk assessment and the integration of compliance into the company’s own business processes.

In the context of compliance, managers must also keep an eye on the different expectations of various stakeholders, whose expectations must be met and in some cases also agreed with each other.

As a follow-up to its workshop at the last DICO FORUM, the Compliance as a Management Task working group has developed a handout on this area of tension, which we are now making available to you.
